Web of Science (WOS): Search Results

Results List


  • Search Results are listed in a brief record format. All documents are sorted by Latest Date by default. Click on a record title to view its full record.
  • Search within Results
    To filter or reduce results on the Results page, enter a Topic query in the Search within results textbox, and then click Search.
  • Sort Results
    Sort records by Latest Date, Processing Date, Times Cited, Relevance, First Author, Source Title or Conference Title.
  • Analyze Results
    Click  to further analyze field data. This feature allows you to extract data values from a selected field, and then produces a report showing the values in ranked order. You can view rankings of the authors, journals, institutions etc.
  • Refine Results
    Use Refine Results to refine your search by particular subject areas or document types or other criteria.

  • Link to Full-Text
    : view full-text from the publisher site. This icon will only appear if the Library subscribes to the electronic version of the journal directly from the publisher.

  • Citation Network
    The Citation Network shows the citation information which includes:
    • Times Cited: It reflects the total number cited in all Web of Science Core Collection. Click on "Times Cited" to see a list of articles (i.e. articles that were published after this one) that have cited this paper. Please note that the number of citing articles you can view on the Citing Articles page may be smaller than the number listed in the Times Cited count on the Results and Full Records pages if your institution's subscription does not include all years and all citation indexes.
    • Cited References: Click to view the references cited by this article.
    • View Related Records: A list of records that cite at least one document cited by the parent record identified at the top of the page. Related Records are ranked according to the number of references they share with the parent record.
