PowerSearch: HKALL

Step 1 - Sign in

You have searched HKALL & found an item that's not available at HKUST Library

  • If you aren't signed in, you will see a yellow bar across the record that says "For request Sign in".  
  • Click on it & sign in

Step 2 - Use "Request" - link

  • After you signed in, you can see the HKALL request link
  • Click the "HKALL Request" button

Step 3 - Availability Check

The green light shows the book is available for request.

  • If you see the green light, choose the green Request link.

The grey light means an item is unavailable.

  • You  can choose "Or check availability again" to make sure it wasn't a mistake.


Step 4 - Volume Number (ignore if not part of a multi-volume set)

If you want a volume from a multi-volume set, put in the volume number

If not, just leave it blank. And then click "Request".

Step 5 - Wait for pick-up email

Congratulations! You successfully made the request now! The lending Library will process your request soon.

  • You will receive a pick-up email notice when it's ready for you at Library circulation counter.
  • Please pick-up the book within 5 days. Otherwise, it will return to the lending Library.
