Using E-books: Gale Virtual Reference Library

1. Browse and Search:

• Browse: Browse e-book titles by subjects.
• Basic Search: To search all eBooks your library's collection, enter a word or phrase in the search box located in the GVRL banner at the top of the page.
• Advanced Search: Click the Advanced Search link below the search box in the GVRL banner when you want to enter additional search criteria.

2. Refine Your Search Results:

Use the sidebar to the right to limit or to search within your results.

3. Viewing eBook Online:

(a). Access via Table of Contents.

(b). Click the book cover to view the eBook online, it supports both Book View and Text View. 

4. Citation Tools:

You can get bibliographic citations generated in a format of your choice. You can save the formatted bibliographic citation(s) to a file or export the citation(s) for use with third-party software. While viewing an eBook online, click Cite from the tool bar.

1. On the Generate a Citation pop-up window, select a Citation Format.
2. Click the Download button to download the citation in HTML, or to export formatted citations for use with a third-party bibliographic management software package, click the drop down menu to select one of the third-party software applications listed. Then click the Export button.

Download eBook Articles:

You may download a PDF file of an eBook article to your PC, USB flash drive, or other portable storage device.

1. While viewing an eBook article, click Download on the toolbar. 
2. Your browser will save in PDF page. 

Printing

While viewing an eBook article online, you can click the Print button on the toolbar. Please note that only a limited number of pages can print.
