You can search for e-books using PowerSearch or by browsing the e-book collections where you can get access to tens of thousands of books online.
The Library has lots of e-books. Use PowerSearch to find and access them from anywhere. Here's the e-books guide.
Example: Get an e-book about linear algebra by someone named David Lay
Go to Library's homepage, choose the "PowerSearch" tab, and do Steps 1 through 4.
In the Results list, choose "Online Resources"
From the results list, Choose "Online Access"
A new tab will open. Click on the link that says "Access via..."
Off campus? You will be brought to the EZ Proxy login. Use your usual HKUST login and password. Details about EZ Proxy.
On campus, or after logging in via EZ Proxy: you will be brought straight to the vendor or publisher's site to read the book.
