DOI Scripts

By using DOI scripts, you can create links to online articles. Use this beginning script:

https://library.hkust.edu.hk/cgi/db/doi.pl? 

1. Find the DOI of the journal article. Examples:
   • 10.1145/32439.32441
   • 10.1016/j.hysletb.2007.10.053
   • 10.1002/pa.280
   • 10.1017/S0144686X07006605
   • 10.1111/b.9780631211617.2004.x
2. Append the DOI to the script to form the durable link,
   e.g., https://library.hkust.edu.hk/cgi/db/doi.pl?10.1109/LPT.2014.2315492

For EBSCOhost & ProQuest,  use a different syntax.

EBSCOhost Research Databases

 Beginning script: https://ezproxy.hkust.edu.hk/login?url=

1. Go to the article record and find "Permalink" on the right hand column
2. You will see a link like this,
   http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=buh&AN=88923800
3. Append them to the script

          e.g., https://ezproxy.hkust.edu.hk/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=buh&AN=88923800

1. Scroll to the end of the article and locate the .ProQuest Document ID
2. Append the ProQuest Document ID to the script,
   e.g., https://library.hkust.edu.hk/cgi/db/pqd-article.pl?31019817

Beginning script for Factiva: https://lbdiscover.hkust.edu.hk/bib/991004767649703412?

1. Find the Document ID found in the bottom left corner of the document

2. Append it to the script:
