Printing Your Saved Articles:
- Click Print Preview from your Saved Articles list to print multiple articles at once. You have the option of printing just the citation information or the full document.

- Download in PDF, HTML, or MP3 file format

Download an e-book

Download eBook articles:

You may download an HTML or PDF file of an eBook article to your PC, USB flash drive, or other portable storage device.

  1. While viewing an eBook article in TEXT view, click Download on the article toolbar.
  2. Select a format from the Download pop-up: HTML or PDF.
  3. Click the Download button.
  4. If you select HTML, your browser will prompt you to open or save the html page. If you select PDF, the document will be displayed in a PDF reader (such as Adobe® Reader®).

Download eBook articles to your eReader:

You can download individual eBook articles and view them using your eReader. While viewing an eBook article in TEXT view, click Download PDF to eReader on the gray bar directly below the GVRL product banner. This will download the article as a PDF file. If your eReader is connected to your computer, you may be able to download the PDF article directly to the eReader. Alternatively, you can download the PDF article to your computer and later transfer it to your eReader via a USB connection. When opened in your eReader, the PDF article will display with the formatting of the original publication.

Print an e-book

Printing

While viewing an eBook article in TEXT view, you can click the Print button on the article toolbar.

Printing Your Saved Articles

Click Print Preview from your Saved Articles list to print multiple articles at once. You have the option of printing just the citation information or the full document.

Listen to an e-book

While viewing an eBook article in TEXT view, the Listen button on the article toolbar lets you hear text read aloud. You can also download the article in MP3 format.

Navigate Gale Virtual Reference Library

1. Browse and Search:

  • Browse: Browse e-book titles by subjects.
  • Basic Search: To search all eBooks your library's collection, enter a word or phrase in the search box located in the GVRL banner at the top of the page.
  • Advanced Search: Click the Advanced Search link below the search box in the GVRL banner when you want to enter additional search criteria.


2. Refine Your Search results:

Use the sidebar to the left to limit or to search within your results.



3. Viewing eBook Articles:

Initially the article will be displayed as TEXT, but you may switch to PDF view.

4. Citation Tools:

You can get bibliographic citations generated in a format of your choice. You can save the formatted bibliographic citation(s) to a file or export the citation(s) for use with third-party software. While viewing an article in TEXT view, or from your Saved Articles list, click Citation Tools from the article tools bar.


  1. On the Generate a Citation pop-up window, select a Citation Format
  2. Click the Save button. Your browser will prompt you to save or open the formatted citation(s). If you choose not to save the file, you can open it for immediate viewing (use your browser's Print function to print the page if desired)
  3. Or, to export formatted citations for use with a third-party bibliographic management software package, click the radio button to select one of the third-party software applications listed. Then click the Export button.
