An online ebook platform providing access to over 1,340 Chinese books published in Taiwan. Subjects covered include philosophy, religion, natural sciences, applied sciences, social sciences, history and geography, language and literature, and arts.

- patrons first need to create an airitiBooks account and install the iRead eBook (free online, Android and IOS)
- check-out period is 3 day

Placing a Hold on an e-book Maximum 3 holds

Create an iRead eBook Account

To set up a personal account:

  • At the top of the page, click the Apply an account link.
  • The Sign up page appears. You may choose to sign up with your Facebook / Google account or to register with a valid email address. Then, click the register button. 
  • When you sign up for airiiBooks, an email will be sent to the address you provided. This email includes a link that you'll need to click to confirm your account. Click on the link to verify your account. You will be automatically logged in as a personal user.

Searching and Navigating E-book on airiti Books

 There are several ways to search for eBooks on airitiBooks:

  1. The blue area: Perform a keyword search of the eBooks database using the search box. Also, you can use the advanced search options to narrow your search by identifying specific criteria, such as dates, content categories, or subjects.
  2. The orange area: Browse by Category, Subject, Magazine, and airitiBooks List (all airitiBooks titles).
  3. The green area: Browse by Category by selecting a category from the column on the left.
  4. The violet area: Browse by Library holdings.

To view eBooks online:

  • Click the Read Online link to read the book in the airitiBooks Viewer tool.

Printing E-Book Pages

Up to 75 pages of an e-book can be printed from within the airitiBooks Viewer tool.

To print eBooks pages:

  1. Open the e-book in the airitiBooks Viewer.

  2. Click the settings icon , and then select Print .

  3. The Print menu is shown.

  4. Enter the page number you wish to print. The number of pages allowing for printing depends on copyright restrictions of the title.


Download an Entire E-book in iRead eBook

You may choose to download an eBook to your computer and read it offline at a later time. iRead eBook is required for offline viewing. This free software can be downloaded from this link.

To download an e-book:

  1. Logon to your airitiBooks account.

  2. Click download button to download the book

  3. Open iRead eBook.
  4. Click the Download button, if you are not logged into your airitiBooks account, you are prompted to do so.

  5.  Click on the book title you want to download.

  6. The book is added to the iRead eBook bookshelf, double click the book cover to start viewing the book.
